Seabass Banana Jig w/ Skirt and Trailers

Seabass can be found in the same areas as many other bottom fish, so this hand-tied jig will help you avoid other pesky bottom feeders. Seabass love to hang out in boulder fields, rocks, ledges, sand waves, reefs and rocky slopes. You should use your chart plotter to find these locations and your depth finder to confirm your bottom. To to use this jig, simply tie it to a rig or directly on your leader and tip it with some bait. Typically soft plastic imitation bait, squid, clams and small bait fish are used to tip the bucktail jig.
